Rather than a pre-designed map with fixed boundaries, The Krawl creates a persistent universe dynamically as you explore. Every decision you make shapes what comes next. Choose to investigate the mysterious tower on the horizon, and the AI crafts its history, inhabitants, and secrets. Decide to sail across unknown seas, and new continents emerge complete with their own cultures, conflicts, and treasures. Once discovered, these locations are a permanent part of the world you have uncovered.

Is The Krawl replayable?
Absolutely. The Krawl offers virtually unlimited replayability through its combination of procedural AI storytelling, meaningful character choices, and dynamic world generation. In fact if your character dies, your new character will arrive into a world that has been shaped by the life of your previous character.
Every playthrough creates a unique experience because the AI responds to you, your choices, and play style. A chaotic Orc Fighter will encounter very different adventures than a lawful Elf Cleric, even when exploring similar locations. Your character's race, class, alignment, and personal choices fundamentally shape how the world reacts to you and what opportunities arise.

What do I need to play?
The Krawl is ready to play with minimal requirements, however it requires you to have access to AI services. These include OpenAI, Leonardo.AI (API Access, not web app) and ElevenLabs (optional).
AI Services Optional and Required
- OpenAI (API Key) - (REQUIRED) Used for the Dungeon Master AI, Converting your voice to text, used for verbal narration.
- Leonardo.AI API Access (API Key) - (REQUIRED) Used for generating AI images
- ElevenLabs (API Key) - (OPTIONAL) Used for better verbal narration and immersive sound effects, (Required if you want immersive sound effects)
To Summarize, at a minimum you will need OpenAI and Leonardo.AI API Access. You can add ElevenLabs at anytime for better DM narration and immersive sound effects.
